Check out Wakomo.com
Posted by Eric Bandholz in Ramblings on September 28, 2009

For the millions of readers of this blog that don’t already, Wakomo is another one of my projects. I have created a number of vinyl wall graphics and am selling them on my website www.wakomo.com. Some of y’all may know vinyl wall graphics as: wall stickers, wall decor, wall stencils, or the coolest thing ever. In fact, now that I mention it – applying the wall graphics to our walls and windows has probably be the most gratifying event I have ever experienced.
The cool thing about Wakomo vs. the other companies out there is that you get a wider selection of sizes and colors. Where as most companies will only create a design in one or two sizes we offer them in 5 different sizes for the standard line of designs. We also have the ability for people to kit together their own design where they can pick from a variety of options to create their own custom look. Kits also have multiple size options available.
You can head over to the Wakomo Blog to see some applied samples, or just shop directly from the website. I am always looking for feedback as I grow the business, so comments are welcome.
Bingle is now Bingle.nu!
Posted by Eric Bandholz in Portfolio, Ramblings on September 21, 2009

Well, after many hours of work Josh and I have finally launched Bingle.nu. You may have recalled an earlier article on this website where I talk about the changes to make to his website and you can see we ultimately ended up with a completely different look. A big goal of the new website launch was that there was no ties to Bing or Google as we respect the brands they have built and are building. We are now looking to build a good brand framework with our visitors.
With the new launch we are rolling out new features that allow users to search images, videos, maps, shopping, and news. Before they could only search web results. Down the road we will be looking to add even more features for searchers and give them a bit of customization as well. So head over to Bingle.nu and check the new design and features.
Mercedes 2010 SLS AMG

The up and coming Mercedes SLS AMG is one cool car. There are a lot of people that are not sure about the looks and it’s either love it or hate it. I think they do a fine job of respecting the past (300 SL) as well as paying homage to the present and future.
The car is reportedly to have a 6.3 liter AMG v8 cranking out 563 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. They estimate it will hit 60 mph in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 197 mph. Not too shabby, but I’m sure it’s outside my price range. For now you can saddle up at Mercedes’ website and play around with the options.
The one thing that I love is the gull-wing doors and it makes me just chuckle to think about it literally flying down the Nurburgring setting new records. I can just hear all the fanboys clamoring about how it’s times aren’t kosher because it is using wings to increase it’s speed and to cut corners. Anyways, follow the jump to see what a SLS would look like flying through the Nurburgring at light speed (making a ZR1 look stationary to boot).
The big blond beautiful fro

I’m sure many women have dealt with this issue, as well as a few men. I am trying to grow my hair out into a new style, however I am currently at the length where no matter what you do with it just looks like penis (forgive my politically incorrectness). I call this the penis stage of hair growth. Ideally you want it to last only a few weeks until you can start doing something a little more stylish. All too often those few weeks can seem like an eternity. In fact, my several attempts to grow my hair out in the past have resulted with me grabbing my clippers and going with the all too traditional buzz cut.
This time around I am determined to make it through the penis stage and into the new hair style. So instead of wearing a hat (which I have many) I’ve decided to take it to the next level. Introducing the BIG BLOND BEAUTIFUL FRO. Nothing else can help a 6’5″ guy stand out than an additional 3 inches of hair on top of his head. It’s a work in progress as I don’t have much experience fro’ing up my hair but follow the jump for the photos and enjoy!
Visited Walla Walla, WA

Anne and I continued our tour of the Northwest this past weekend and headed out to Walla Walla, WA. For those not familiar Walla Walla is known for it’s fertile land that is perfect for vineyards. I was told at one wine tasting location that Walla Walla stands for “Many Rivers.” We stayed at the Marcus Whitman hotel which was right downtown. It was a fantastic hotel with a king size bed, plush furniture, and most importantly – pet friendly.
For the first day we decided to hit up a few of the wine tasting rooms downtown. There are literally 20 rooms within walking distance of the Marcus Whitman hotel. After eating a Sweet Basil Pizzeria we headed over to Walla Walla Wine Works which showcased a number of different wines from the parent company. Lindsey and Cierra were our servers and were local to Walla Walla for at least 10 years. Here we learned a little gossip about the town (like the very uncommon murders that happened a few years ago) as well as the meaning of Walla Walla.
