On Monday afternoon I was walking back to my truck in downtown Spokane. I reckon a front was coming through as a nice breeze was blowing in the air. It was at that moment I realized that I would experience what most men and all women will never experience – my beard blowing in the wind.

Now it may not seem like much to y’all beardless people – but it’s a wonderful feeling to have wind blow through my beard. I suppose I would describe it as how it feels when wind blows through your head hair, but instead with your face hair.

Simply put, it’s awesome and just another reason that having a beard is awesome. Also note how God’s beard is blowing in the wind in Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam on the Sistine Chapel ceiling.

  1. I DO know what you mean, sort of. Loooong time ago I shaved my head (for wig shop way before it was a known charity, childhood friend, lukemia) and delighted in rubbing lotion all over my head. Singular sensation. Still craving it. Like the breeze on my bald head too! But that lotion directly onto my scalp? Ahhhhh!
