This pirate has been using it and absolutely adores the scent. If you relish the aroma of a victorious sea battle (gunpowder and scorched timber), then Black Sails is your ideal pirate fragrance.

I use the Utility Wash, the Utility Softener, and fi nish it all off with the Eau de Parfum. Have used Temple Smoke for years. I was bummed when it was discontinued for a while....but very glad it's back.

Old Money! I feel like a rich uncle.

Subtle smell, lasts all day.

Temple Smoke is one of those fragrances that’s nearly impossible to describe—but that’s exactly what makes it special. It has a clean, smoky aroma that’s dark, mysterious, and incredibly smooth. I even pick up a subtle cannabinoid-like note that adds to its unique character without overpowering the blend. It’s bold, intriguing, and keeps me coming back for another sniff. I’d say this scent is worth burning for.

Norse Winter is a weird one—in a good-ish way. To my nose, it’s smoky with notes of whiskey, like a Viking kicked back beside a campfire after a long day of pillaging.

My wife smelled it and immediately said, “Juicy Fruit.”

So apparently I’m getting whiskey-soaked Viking, and she’s getting yellow pack of chewing gum. Polar opposites? Absolutely. Marriage in a nutshell? Probably.

I’ll give Norse Winter credit: it grew on me the more I wore it. I went from “Eh, I don’t know about this” to “Alright, Thor, I see what you’re doing here.” It smells good, but it’s still far from something I’d raid a village to get another bottle of.

So far, Short Game and Temple Smoke are still sitting comfortably on the Beardbrand throne for me.

Old Money cologne used to be amazing in the old spray formula. In roller, it is the same, also amazing. It is rich, complex, has projection and lasting power. Sadly, it is THE ONLY Beardbrand cologne that has these traits. The others fade within 10 minutes, no one can smell them (even if applying quadruple the recommended amount) and are not "colognes". These are just oil with scent and the scent doesn't really stick. I have spent a couple hundred here on these and only one is worth the cost. I feel the others should be dropped personally as they do nothing really, just for a few minutes. Temple Smoke lasts 7 minutes with zero projection. Same with Norse Winter, Fox Hunt and Short Game. Desert Road is OK but still not like a cologne..dull, one noted and no projection. I will order more Old Money when I run out and I do have beard oil, balm, deodorant and cologne in Temple, Norse and Old but even Norse and Temple colognes are not worth it for me as again, they fade within minutes and I can't even smell them after that. They just are not anything like a real cologne let alone an EDP. I still love the brand, just feel they miss more then they hit when it comes to colognes.

I have used Four Vices for several years, when it is available. It is my chosen scent, and I often get positive comments about it. I wish Beardbrand would resume offering beard balm in that scent. Please.

I love this. Everyone asks what I am wearing. They have to be very close to me to smell the scent. If I get a kiss they usually pull me back for another.

While not exactly like the original Four Vices, its spirit is captured well here and that makes it my favorite fragrance. Please bring this to every product line, the soaps, the balms, the full Monty!

This is my signature scent it subtle but sweet.

Can’t express properly how much I love this scent, I will be buying it again.

This is my secodary scent but the scent is great for smelling good all day.

Desert Road Men's Cologne

It is a long time to arrive here in Brazil, about 20 days.

Four Vices was definitely a disappointment for me. It has a very light, powdery, overly sweet scent—almost like cotton candy. It isn’t strong at all, and the little fragrance it does have doesn’t last very long. I was expecting something richer and more masculine from a beard-brand cologne, but this one completely missed the mark for me.

I love it. It’s great stuff.

This is a nice one! There are a lot of fragrance notes that remind me of other scents but when combined create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. One of the standouts is the subtle hint of gunpowder, one of the most manly aromas imaginable. Along with that is a leafy flourish and a note that honestly reminds me of ginger ale. This fragrance really ignites the senses in all the right ways. Well done, Beardbrand!

Great smell, rustic, not quite campfire but something along those lines.

All you need is just a few rolls across the neck, and it's a great clean, masculine smell

I like everything that comes after the intense citrus open. Would like to exchange for Bold Fortune.

Bold Fortune has a distinct scent that I genuinely enjoy, but I think the name oversells it a bit. I wouldn’t call this fragrance “bold.” It’s much more of a light, mellow scent that’s honestly hard to describe. It smells good and has its own character, but it’s definitely not a powerhouse scent or one that announces itself when you walk into a room.

Longevity is about what I’ve experienced with Beardbrand’s other fragrances—roughly 2–4 hours before it fades away.

Overall, I enjoy the scent and will continue wearing it. I just wish something called Bold Fortune had a little more boldness and staying power. For me, that lands it at 3 stars.

They say fortune favors the bold. In this case, I’m still waiting on the bold to show up.

Was hesitant to try your fragrances out, I had my usual "safe" rotation and it takes alot for me to mix it up. So glad I tried it and now I will be wearing it as part of my new rotation going forward. Great job and great products!

Four Vices wasn't an instant favorite for me, but it's grown on me over time. Tobacco, coffee, hops, oud, and green notes come together into something warm, earthy, and unexpected.

The darker notes give it depth without making it heavy, while a subtle sweetness keeps it smooth and inviting. The more I wear it, the more I appreciate how different it is.

Bold Fortune is a little misleading—in the best possible way. I expected something dark and intense. Instead, it's surprisingly subtle, smooth, and slightly sweet.

The whiskey and saffron give it a warm opening, while leather & tobacco add depth without overpowering the sweeter side of the fragrance. Everything blends together rather than competing for attention, giving Bold Fortune a relaxed confidence.

It's not the loudest fragrance in the room, and I think that's part of its appeal. Bold Fortune feels warm, polished, and inviting without demanding attention. If you're expecting a heavy, smoky whiskey scent, it may surprise you—in a very good way.

Old Money has a certain effortless sophistication to it. Bright citrus and a touch of spice give it an inviting opening before settling into leather, amber, oak, sandalwood, and cedarwood.

The name fits, but not because it smells overly formal or stuffy. It reminds me more of a well-worn leather chair in a room full of beautiful wood—comfortable, established, and expensive without needing to show off. The subtle floral note adds just enough character to keep everything interesting.

It's the kind of fragrance that works when you want to smell put together without making a statement about it. Classic, refined, and incredibly easy to wear.

Norse Winter smells exactly like you would expect from the name—evergreen forests, warm woods, and smoky resins—but somehow it isn't nearly as seasonal as you'd think. The bergamot gives it a brightness up front, while fir balsam, frankincense, amber, oak, and leather create a warm, resinous foundation that's incredibly inviting.

What surprised me most is how versatile it feels. I expected a heavy winter fragrance that I'd only reach for when the temperature drops, but Norse Winter works surprisingly well outside of the colder months. It's warm and comforting without becoming overly heavy, making it much more wearable than the name might suggest.

There's something almost nostalgic about it. It evokes cold air, evergreen trees, and a warm cabin without smelling like a stereotypical Christmas fragrance. The deeper resinous notes give it character, while the fresh evergreen and citrus keep it from becoming too dark. One of my new favorites!
